Swarovski Crystal iPad Bling...
Whenever I think...what will I ice out next...a new gadget is released that I have to get my sparkly little hands on! FYI, I am a GADJET JUNKIE! Obvvv, right? Since I've been into cell phone bling for over 8 years now, it's only natural that I'd have an obsession for gadgets and techie toys. Thank You, Apple, for creating the ipad. It's bad enough that I have two crystal laptops, two crystal cell phones, and a host of other shamelessly blinged out things...
I'd decided there was just no way I was going to buy this iPad, since I do own a laptop AND an iPhone. Seemed rather pointless...but one day I was making my way out of the Hello Kitty store, headed back to my vehicle, when I passed the Apple store...and there it was... The iPad. A huge, blown up version in the window, beckoning to me, taunting..."Tori, you know you want me..." 30 minutes later I was leaving the mall, basking in the excitement of what I was going to do to my new iPad! :)
About two hours later...VOILA!
I must say, I LOVE it! It's definitely far from useless, and it's so much better than trying to view websites on my iPhone. And I don't have to lug my laptop, cords, etc when I'm headed out to meetings or work away from my office. But secretly...well, not so secretly...this is the best part of all!!! The BLING, BLING baby!!

This never gets old...
So last week I was closing up for the day...I'd just put on my Sade album, Soldier of Love, which is very relevant to me at this point in my life, since I am in the middle of a separation, after 11 years of marriage...yes, I married VERY early, which I don't recommend. LOL...
The Posh.Life line rang, as I was settling into my relaxation mode...and I thought, "I'd better get that..." And then there was a strangely familiar voice on the other end...although I wasn't immediately sure why. Turns out it was one of my childhood/adolescent idols!! Ms. Tionne Watkins, better known as T-Boz, of TLC. If you grew up in the late 80's, early 90's like I did (telling my age, I know), then you know what that must've felt like. I am rarely starstruck. I've had the pleasure...and displeasure in some cases (LOL)...of meeting many celebrities. However, there are those occassions that you meet your personal style icons, or they were the group of your generation, and you get that little feeling in the pit of your stomach. I thought, ok Tori, don't act like a crazed fan. You've done this before, you can do this...LOL! To my delight, Ms. Tionne was kind, humble, and absolutely fabulous to talk to! She was so very sweet...and the best part is that she Loved some of my personal collections. One thing you all may not know...I normally create collections off the top of my head. I'll be sitting at my desk, and just start making something up. So when I hear one of you tell me that you just love my collections...it really feels amazing, because I simply make what I like! So for Ms. Tionne to order not one, but several of my designs...I actually go back to a moment as a yound girl, watching the making of the "Waterfalls" video...or remembering singing "Ain't Too Proud To Beg"...and I feel like a Rockstar! Even if only for a moment...It's my moment. I hope that every one of you experiences this in your lives. Because it is those moments that let me know that all I experience in life, good or bad, is relevant. All the time and effort you put into what you do, and what you love, and going after your own personal goals will pay off in the end. And for me, one of thosse moments was in a phonecall from one of my idols...that's hot!! TTFN!

New favorite!
Here's a new cover designed today that I absolutely ADORE! Ordered by Vanessa, from the UK...Her instructions were to write the word GLAM, and do whatever to the background, just make it fabulous. And fabulous, it is! I LOVED the end result. I wish the photos could've really captured how Stunning this cover is, but I just had to share! Sometimes, the best ideas are the ones that are truly the simplest...TTFN...

The New Posh Girl!

The Posh Girl has evolved since 2002...I first had her designed by the artist Shano...who created a beautiful, upside down Posh Girl, relaxing on her pillow, chatting on her blinged out cell phone...I would always have people asking me, "is she upside down?"...LOL. So even though I absolutely loved the artwork that was designed, I knew that the logo would need to be redesigned. In 2005, Posh was transformed into the logo most known, with the pink diamonds added, which is now synonomous with the Posh.Life brand. Back then, the Swarovski Crystal Havianas were just being created, and I wanted my Posh.Girl to represent the times she lived in. She rocked hot Crystallized havaianas, a fab white tee, and daisy dukes, because she was casual chic...This year, I decided that our beloved Posh.Girl needed a serious makeover! With growth and refinement throughout the years, I have evolved as a designer. I created the trend of 3d objects on cell phones, because flat designs just didn't do it for me! I knew that there was nothing off limits when designing a phone...therefore my Posh.Girl had to evolve and become better as well...And isn't she now more fabulous than ever! I hope you love her as much as I do! Thank You for staying with us for all these years...and we will continue to bring the bling! Posh.Life 2010! Got bling??
